Kissimmee – A dream vacation destination!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Kissimmee Tourism. All opinions are 100% mine.

Most of us have dream destinations for vacations. While for some it is the sun-kissed beaches at a faraway place, for some more, it is the icy mountains. There must have been a reason why these destinations are called ‘dream’ destinations – they normally don’t come true!

Going to Florida and Disney World is one such destination in the minds of millions of people from all over the world. However, the price tag, and the fact that there is nothing there for adults puts many people off. That is where Kissimmee comes in.

While everything in the usual Floridan vacation has to do with money, some of the best things in Kissimmee are free. A day out in the old part of the city – with strolls through St. Cloud and Celebration – are an absolute must-do, and you are sure to bump into a few special events being staged right on the streets there.

For me, the fun of seeing vintage cars on a Friday evening and going on the traditional Saturday Nite Cruise ® (which has been around for 19 years now) is what looks great. Nature buffs can watch one of the largest congregations of the Great American Bald Eagles, and there are various bird trail sites to plunge into. Like I said, all of these are free, and you are right next door to Florida!!

Of course, you can head down to Disney World and partake in all of the regular vacation deals in Florida, but staying in Kissimmee is whole different magical experience!

There are several cozy little places to stay in (in addition to the huge hotels), but hiring an RV or staying at a campground is my kind of a place. The Tropical Farms fun resorts seems really fun! Imagine heading down to Florida in the morning, and coming back to your cottage in the evening! With the ocean just an hour away and the lakefront at all three towns in Kissimmee, there cannot be a better family getaway – at prices that are really not Florida-esque!

More information can be had from and if you are planning a visit to the area, don’t miss Kissimmee!
